Designed for machine safety assessors and machinery manufacturers, this course provides clear guidance on legal obligations under the the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008. This training can be bespoke to suit internal requirements.

What you'll learn:

  • Gain a good understanding of what is required to demonstrate compliance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
  • Recognise when CE / UKCA marking of machines is required and which standards may apply.
  • Learn how to establish a design risk assessment (DRA) team and process for a new project.
  • Learn what to expect in the contents of the TF (Technical File).

Practitioner-led delivery. This classroom-based course is delivered in an informative and interactive style based on years of practical experience of carrying out Compliance Marking in a wide range of settings. There is ample opportunity to discuss the regulations in the context of your specific applications. This course can also be expanded to focus in on some of the main parts of UKCA / CE marking e.g. BS EN 12100 risk assessments. Depending on client needs, this course is often delivered alongside our PUWER course.
